Position changes due to promotions and numerous departmental restructures over time.

  • Coordinate, prioritize, and supervise production of all print, web, digital, and multimedia design projects assigned to the department

  • Work closely with departments, divisions, committees, and individuals across the university to determine project objectives, timeline, and budget to create impactful, visually effective designs

  • Manage tasks and timelines in Workfront project management tool

  • Balance multiple projects to meet deadlines and requirements

  • Work with vendors and provide project specifications in order to obtain competitive bids

  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all communications to support the university’s strategic priorities and goals

  • Understand and put into practice the policies, procedures, and objectives of the university

  • Design, develop, and produce creative, quality artwork and electronic files to be used in the production of print pieces to promote the marketing strategies of the university, including magazines/newsletters, reports, admission recruiting materials, fine arts promotional pieces, brochures, fliers, posters, logos, invitations, programs, handbooks, advertisements, and signage.

  • Design, develop, and produce digital graphics to be used on websites, social media, presentations, digital displays, and in video production

  • Photograph people, facilities, events, etc. for use by the department as well as coordinate professional photo shoots and supervise the referencing, storage, and distribution of photos

  • Design a consistent and effective look for the university web templates to be used within the content management system and across the university’s website; work closely with web programmer to assure accuracy, technical viability, SEO, and usability of the site

  • Monitor and update content on the upper levels of the university web pages; monitor content throughout the site as appropriate; assure that training opportunities are made available for university-designated web editors

  • Excellent skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign; familiarity with Adobe Premiere, HTML and CSS
